Picture of the Month
Picture of the Month for September is an Osprey taken near the start of August. I had very little to choose from this month as I have done very little wildlife photography because I have been busy with weddings. It has worked out quite well because August is one of the quieter months for wildlife anyway - most breeding birds are looking scrappy after an intense couple of months feeding young and most Autumn migrants haven't arrived yet.
I have photographed Ospreys before but mainly in Canada where they are much more common and approachable - there is one pair over there that nest on a man made pole that sits on a popular beach with kids running around underneath them!
I have wanted to take fishing shots for a while but the cost has been prohibitive. Fortunately this year another opportunity arose with much lower costs so off I went.
Here is the result,
Enjoy!
